A lovely school near Wallington, Sutton are looking for an SEN TA for a full time long term role working with students who have moderate learning difficulties including autism and SEMH. The school caters for students aged 7 - 18 and each student who attends the school has an EHCP (Educational Health Care Plan).
The school is in need of an enthusiastic SEN TA to start asap. Teaching Personnel work with a range of SEN Schools that require support assistants to work as general classroom support or on a 1-2-1 basis with pupils who have specific learning needs. If this role is not exactly what you are looking for, other positions are available within similar SEN schools. You will need to be proactive, enthusiastic and have a determination to succeed.
Prior experience working in SEN or a Learning Support Assistant qualification are desirable but applicants with a youth work, social work or care work background will also be considered. The needs of the pupils are broad and many children posses Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties. Applicants with additional skills such as Makaton, Medicine Administration, PECS and Moving and Handling are extremely sought after.
