Special Needs Teaching Assistants in Retford

CER Sheffield are recruiting for experienced SEN /SEND teaching assistants.

We are looking for those that are available for full-time assignments in the Retford area.

This role is for those who are looking to work in a SEND schools in Retford, supporting pupils who need 1:1 help or those who require added support throughout the school day.

Some students will require, personal care ,pupil moving and handling, feeding as and when needed throughout the day. Pupils in this group have mainly Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties, Hearing and Visual Disabilities, Complex Medical Needs, ASD and Severe Learning Difficulties.

You will need recent or relevant experience that is relevant to this work, any TA qualifications, for example 'HLTA' could be useful. Team Teach, Makaton or courses similar could also be beneficial, as well as any other qualifications relevant to SEND. You will also need to be passionate about giving those with SEND the same opportunities as those pupils in mainstream education. You will be patient, creative and are able to deal with difficult and possibly challenging behaviour.
