Posted 23 January by Teaching Personnel Ltd

I am currently working closely with an SEN school in the North West Kent location that are looking for Teaching Assistants for long-term permanent positions. An SEMH/ASC school, the school boasts extensive grounds with excellent facilities.

Looking for behavioural support specialists for long-term contracts support roles vary from key stage 2, 3, 4 and 5. You will be working in small classes of approximately 5 to 7 pupils including 1:1. In addition to classroom support TA's will also be required to work off site at colleges across North West Kent with key stage 5 pupils across a wide variety of subjects.

Due to the nature of the school lots of the students are from a care background and need someone who is going to show a lot of enthusiasm and be willing to get involved as part of a team. In addition to this you will be covering across all key stages and will need to have the flexible and adaptable working ethos required to support all year groups.

If you have experience or feel confident in at least 2 of the following please get in touch:

  • Youth Offending Services
  • Criminology, Psychology, Music Degree
  • Sports coaching qualification or background
  • Team Teach/SKIP, CPI, MAPA Physical Intervention Training
  • Experience supporting challenging behaviour within an out of school setting
  • Emotionally Robust

Relevant qualifications and experience will be highly beneficial, yet it will be your ability to build relationships and increase pupils attainment and sense of worth that will make you a success. Due to the rural location along with the possibility of supporting pupils offsite own transport is essential.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

Teaching Personnel is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. All candidates must undertake or have undertaken a valid enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. Full assistance provided.
