Prospero teaching are currently seeking Graduates who are interested in becoming Special Needs Teaching Assistant's to work at a vibrant and friendly Special School located in Hillingdon.

This Special Needs School educates students between 5 - 19 years of age. Students have a range of special needs including Autism, Speech and Language needs, Sensory Needs, and some medical needs. Students also have behaviour needs which are associated.

We are seeking a The ideal candidate will be a clear communicator, calm natured and be dedicated supporting students with special needs. You will be joining a multi-functioning setting, a place where students feel safe and respected. Each child encounters the fundamental outcomes of physical and emotional well-being and a platform for communication and personal safety resulting in a safe and positive teaching and learning environment.

Duties:
* Supporting in lessons, 1:1 sessions, intervention groups and working with other departments and outside agencies.
* support students with numeracy, literacy and support the needs of the students dependent on their EHCP.
* Some students may require medical assistance and intimate care

Skills
* Degree level education
* Clear communicator
* Some prior experience or knowledge of Special Needs would be an advantage
* Ability to build positive and trusting relationships
* Commitment, perseverance and patience

Where medical care is needed you will be provided training.

As a Special Needs teaching assistant you will be exposed to students of various abilities and needs, you will need to analyse data and build up your ability to raise attainment and behaviour management. Again, this will build your knowledge of how students are monitored, data is analysed and attainment is raised and students are managed more effectively by teachers for the future.
