The School is in a great setting that offers education to students on a flexible basis from residential homes as well as their own permanent student base, for children with Autism and SEMH. This role requires you to be energetic, passionate about helping children access a curriculum and understanding of children’s needs and external factors.
This is a fantastic School that does a real justice for students with, in some cases, extreme external factors. Allowing children to break from a spiral of negativity and drive forward with their future. The classes are between 6 and 10 pupils and you are supported by learning mentors – some children may have 1:1 assistance.
For this role you would require the following skills and experience
Primary trained QTS or QTLS
Worked with pupils with social and emotional needs either within mainstream or a SEN setting.
The ability to engage pupils and establish strong working relationships
Clear communication both written and verbal
