The successful candidate will need to have extensive experience as a humanities teacher and must have experience working with students who have mental health and behavioural difficulties. You will be required to have a firm knowledge of all core subjects as well as skills teaching art as you will be teaching ART 3 times a week in the afternoon. You will also be expected to be teaching all humanities subjects (Economics, Geography, history and sociology) all at GCSE level. You will always have the support of a minimum 1 T/A and will be expected to start after Easter. The school is looking for someone who is very well experienced and can work in a positive and engaging manner with the students.
About the SEN school;
The school is in Essex and has a very small student count. There is a maximum of 3 classes and only 16 students altogether. The school aims to help students who have SEBD as well as mental health who cannot cope with mainstream education. The school helps to prepare the students preparing to go into placements at college, schools or possible work that they are planning to start.
