A new SEN school in the London borough of Hammersmith is seeking two SEN Teaching Assistants for an immediate start.
The School is quite different to most SEN schools, the students are academically at an average level but social communication and mental health are the main factors.
With this in mind the Head teacher is in need of two Graduate Teaching Assistants who have experience or have a real passion to provide 1:1 support pupils with SEN - Experience is preferred in this setting.
The pupils are aged between 7 up to 19 and are very complex so will differ from most SEN support roles. The School is keen to have Graduates who will work as Teaching Assistants for the remainder of the Academic year, Individuals who have a real passion to pursue a career in Teaching or in SEN as an educational psychologist or therapist in the future. This role will really put you in good stead.
Experience is advantageous; the real key to this post is the right personality, having empathy, being passionate and confident to work on your own initiative. It is essential that the pupils have the right focus to ensure the pupil receives the best support available in order to progress and achieve.
