This challenging yet rewarding opportunity has arisen for a Behaviour Mentor starting in April 2018 within an expanding Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) in Manchester for 1 year.
About the Role:
This Behaviour Mentor position will involve supporting Key stage 3 and 4 students that are unable to access mainstream school or those that have been excluded across several Manchester sites. As part of the team you will be required to engage pupils in a range of activities with a flexible approach. As you will be dealing with challenging situations at times strong behaviour management is essential while remaining calm.

About the school:
This Pupil Referral Unit has several sites across Manchester and caters for pupils aged 11 to 16 that come from a variety of backgrounds and with a range of Special Educational Needs (SEN) including Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD). Their main aim is to integrate students back into mainstream school and improve confidence, social and life skills.
To be considered for this role, you will need to:
*Experience supporting young people with complex needs and learning difficulties
*NVQ level 3 in Childcare

*The ability to work in a team
