Engage Education are currently working with a fantastic independent primary school in the London borough of Ealing and require a Special Needs Teaching Assistant with a specialism in autism and Challenging behavior to join their SEN Department.

This role will enable you to support a student in Year 4 currently in the transitional period of reintegrating into mainstream from a behaviour center. The student has been diagnosed with autism and identified as needing additional support in the classroom. The student has been allocated an EHCP which the successful candidate will have access to. The role will have a strong focus on implementing classroom behavior interventions. These interventions range from everyday classroom strategy to positive handling techniques.

The ideal candidate will have experience as a SEN Teaching Assistant and working with students with Autism (ASD) and very challenging behavior. If you are passionate about working with SEN students but do not have experience, then please still apply as we offer ongoing training. This successful person for this role will need to show strong patience, good communication and enthusiasm towards helping children to learn.
