SEMH TEACHER - Primary aged PRU

Prospero Teaching are working alongside a Primary aged PRU in Sandwell seeking for a teacher who has experience of teaching students with social emotional mental health (SEMH) difficulties.

START DATE: APRIL 2018 OR SOONER IF AVAILABLE
**LONG TERM CONTRACT**
LOCATION: SANDWELL
NEEDS: SOCIAL EMOTIONAL MENTAL HEALTH (SEMH)

The school is a well-managed establishment providing an education to primary aged students with SEMH. They offer education, support and guidance for all students and tailor learning to their specific needs.

Together the team deliver a positive reinforcement and celebration of achievement is embedded in the school's culture and includes individually meaningful and high value reward systems that motivate our pupils to participate in activities, helping them to take responsibility for their own learning.

The ideal candidate will have a PGCE but it is not vital as long as you have teaching experience in a SEMH setting. You will need to have experience teaching students who have challenging behaviours or mental health difficulties.

The position starts in March 2018 and will be a very rewarding role for the right person!

SEMH teaching background is a MUST
Class size on average include 7 - 8 students with at least 1 Teaching Assistant
High ratio of support staff
Prospero Teaching requires all teachers to have a fully enhanced DBS check, minimum of two references plus a face to face interview.
