SEMH Teacher in Thetford

Prospero Teaching are looking for a teacher to work with small groups of students with social emotional and mental health difficulties (SEMH). You will be based at their Thetford School and will be working with students in Key Stages 3 and 4.

About the school and contract

*A specialist therapeutic school for children with SEMH and Autism.
*Initially full time long term supply role but with the potential to become
permanent.
*Teaching small groups and potentially some 1:1
*A supportive Head and Senior Leadership Team

About the successful SEMH Teacher

*Experience working as an SEMH teaching role is preferred but not essential but not
essential providing you have the right attitude and desire.
*Passion for working with children with SEND.
*Good or outstanding experience of teaching children with various special education
needs
*Strong classroom and behaviour management skills

To be eligible the SEMH Teacher should have/be

*Teaching experience, whilst a qualified teacher would be preferred they will also
consider non-qualified teachers with relevant experience.
*Highly motivated and focused on achieving the best for every student
*A positive attitude and desire towards working with SEND students
*Lots of energy and enthusiasm
*The ability to engage and motivate students whilst making learning fun
*Excellent communication skills - the school encourages good communication with
Parents/Carers
