SEN Teaching Assistant needed from September in Launceston

Teaching Personnel are one of the leading recruitment agencies within Cornwall and work with a number of excellent schools in The Launceston Area. We are currently actively recruiting on behalf of our Schools for September positions. If you have experience within the world of Special Needs, more specifically within schools, we want to hear from you.

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you must have a natural aptitude on the behaviour management and interpersonal skills as well as a very enthusiastic and positive manner. You must be able to have a level of resilience, have a good sense of humour, be able to build rapport easily and will ideally have experience working with students who have Autism, SLD, PMLD or Behaviour Issues.

All successful candidates will be subject to DBS and reference checks and will need to have the 'right to work' in the UK.

Candidates will need the following to Qualify;

  • DBS Childworkforce only and register on the Update Service
  • Full Clean Driving Licence
  • Level 3 Qualification or equivalent
  • Be Available Full Time

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
