We are looking to recruit passionate and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistants for our outstanding SEMH School in Upminster. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a dedicated team working to support students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, as well as Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), ADHD, and additional learning difficulties.

About Our School: Our SEMH School in Upminster is committed to fostering an inclusive and nurturing atmosphere that promotes resilience and mutual respect. We offer both temporary and long-term positions, starting as soon as possible.

What We're Looking For: We are seeking Learning Support Assistants who are creative, dynamic, and committed to making a lasting impact in the lives of students. If you have a deep understanding and passion for working with students with SEND, particularly within SEMH settings, and possess a proactive and adaptable approach to learning, we would love to hear from you.

We welcome applications from graduates with backgrounds in Sports, Psychology, Criminology, or Drama, as these skills are highly transferable to SEMH environments. You will be joining a supportive team where your dedication and specialist knowledge can truly make a difference.

Key Requirements:

  • Enthusiasm, dedication, and motivation to work with students with SEND/SEMH needs.
  • A strong passion for supporting students with additional needs.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to work in diverse learning environments.
  • Ability to manage challenging behaviour in a constructive manner.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with staff and students.
  • A valid DBS registered with the online update service or willingness to apply for a new one.
