About the school and contract:
*We are looking for a qualified Science Teacher to work with small groups of students with a range of mental health difficulties.
*Purpose built school with specialist learning areas.
*This is a permanent post to start after Easter 2018. However, they are prepared to wait for the right candidate if you are on a notice period. The ideal will be to get to you started at some time in the summer term so that you are settled ready for September.
*The role is to work with students in key stages 3 and 4 in a school that Ofsted have rated as "Good"
About the successful SEMH Science Teacher:
*Previous experience teaching GCSE Science, ideally within the SEN Sector, although this in not essential providing you have the right attitude and desire.
*Some of their students are very bright and expected to achieve A/B GCSE grades so you should have experience of helping students achieve these grades.
*Previous experience working with SEMH would be advantageous
*A passion for working with children with SEMH.
*Pro Active and innovative.
To be eligible the SEMH Science Teacher must have/be:
*Highly motivated and focused on achieving the best for every student.
*A positive attitude and desire towards working with SEN students.
*Lots of energy and enthusiasm.
*The ability to engage and motivate students whilst making learning fun.
*Excellent communication skills - the school encourages good communication with Parents/Carers.
