The Client SOC is a twenty-four-seven facility in London, UK, providing security risk management services to Client UK and global travellers, staff and third parties to whom Client owes security duty-of-care. It assesses live and future security risk, monitors operations and coordinates responses to security incidents. Its information is fed to Client’s Network Security Team (NIS), NIS Analytic Cell, Regional Security Directors and other stakeholders as required. It deploys the operational and intellectual skills of its staff using up-to-date digital technology to deliver safe and resilient security products.
SAO must be familiar with the standards, standard operating procedures (SOP), systems and tools, and the high levels of skill and competency required to underwrite their function. They must have a sound understanding of and ability to interpret and implement the contents of Risk Management Principles and Guidelines and Risk Assessment Techniques.
The post operates twnty-four-seven on a 12 hour shift basis. There are normally two SAO working on each shift.
Salary is £40k dependent on skill-set.
The job holder must have sound understanding, experience and expertise in one or both of: (a) operational security; (b) security threat and risk assessment, analysis or a related field.
The successfull candidate must be capable of working under pressure and coping with the rapid demands required of them in the area of operational security, and with the intellectual demands required of them in the assessment of security risk. Accurate assessment of threats and risks cannot be compromised even when working under pressure.
The job holder is likely to have a substantial background in, for example, the Military, the Police, the security industry, or security threat and risk assessment, analysis or a related field. They are likely to have an academic qualification at graduate or post graduate degree level in a related field, or substantial practical experience and other qualifications that add significant value to the role.
