To deliver an exceptional security service by providing a safe, secure and welcoming environment - through protection of people, property and assets and through the provision of excellent customer service.
Provide exceptional levels of customer service at all times
Operate within the control room when required as follows:
Monitor and operate CCTV, Security, Fire and access control systems
Handle visitors, telephone calls, two way radio communication and traffic management enquiries
Respond to all incidents - this could include: building fires, major security incidents, fuel or chemical Spillage, road traffic accidents etc.
Carry out high visibility, uniformed, mobile, foot, cycle patrols also including low key plain clothes patrols
Partake in the securing and opening of buildings
Provide care to vulnerable individuals when required, this may be as the result of being a victim of crime, suffering illness or through the effects of drugs and alcohol.
Carry out in-transit mobile duties
Respond to all crimes and incidents that include: anti-social behaviour, assault, theft, and unauthorised intruders, this could include the requirement to detain suspects until the arrival of the police.
Give evidence at hearings and criminal court
Additional hours may need to be worked, sometimes at short notice for operational reasons.
The ideal candidate will ideally have an SIA qualification although candidates with significant relevant experience, i.e. police, prison officers etc. are definitely of interest. My client is looking for candidates with a steady work history ideally in a dynamic environment. The ideal candidate will be able to give examples of major incidents that they have been involved in responding to.
You will be an excellent communicator, being able to communicate effectively with individuals and groups from all backgrounds and at all levels of seniority. You will have quick and accurate decision making skills. You will be able to prioritise 'life at risk' decisions when attending incidents where needed. You must be a confident IT user.
