I currently have several job vacancies within a secure government building in Winchester. The job vacancies are due to start as soon as possible and run for approximately 3 to 6 months with the potential for a rolling contract upon completion.
The job role is for a Security Officer to work Monday to Sunday on a shift rotational pattern. The rates of pay are fixed at either £8.41 or £12.10 per hour (depending of the shift), which will increase to a flat rate of £10.45 (premium) per hour for all working hours on completion of your 12-week probationary period. There is free car parking available to all successful applicants along with a Hays Pension Scheme, which will become available upon the successful completion of 12 weeks work.
The Role/ Duties
- Checking in visitors
- Supervision of visitors
- Patrolling perimeter and grounds
- Supervising small selected prisoner work parties
- Escorting contractors & vehicles
- Searching Buildings
- Searching prisoners property
- Stores duties
- Routine administrative work
- Night patrol duties
- Canteen and kit exchange duties
- Emergency Control Room (ECR) and Communications Room
- Rub down searching of prisoners
The successful applicant does not require any experience as full training is provided, however a military or security background would be beneficial but not necessary.
