Secures enterprise information and systems by developing architecture blueprints which enable the delivery of security requirements. Contributes to the planning, implementation and testing of system security. Prepares security standards, policies, and procedures.
•Develop and deploy security architecture blueprints across RMG
•Input to the development and deployment of related policies and standards across RMG that meets the business direction.
•Lead the deployment of the security architecture blueprints to Business Partners and Service Delivery
•Drive to the measurement of and improvement to the effectiveness of RMG Security Architecture
•Ensure the Architecture Concurrence Process makes appropriate provisions for embedding security architecture principles
•Participation in the Architecture Concurrence Process with a focus on concurrence with Security Architecture blueprint
•Responsible for the deployment of Security Architecture Standards and strategic architecture blueprints for Security across RMG
•Ensure compliance with RMG Security Architecture for all Solution Architectures by supporting and guiding projects throughout development
•Understand and use the methodologies required to effectively deliver the Security Architecture across RMG
•Identification and resolution or mitigation of risks, dependencies, problems, challenges and complexities with deployment of RMG Security Standards
•Reporting identified risks, dependencies, problems, challenges and complexities to the Head of Security and other stakeholders
•Introduction of best practice, common methods and approaches
•Track emerging technologies & standards, pilot, and adopt as appropriate in agreement with the business security related technological innovation
•Develop security testing guidelines and standards to ensure security requirements are met
•Security architecture design for the entire IT systems capability of Royal Mail
•Consulting in the development and design of security best practices and implementation of solid security principles across the organization, to meet business goals along with customer and regulatory requirements.
•Determines the underlying security technologies & standards for all technology investments in the region of £3-10M per annum
•Significant influencing of project and programme teams to ensure security architecture compliance is met. Creating and articulating an security architectural vision for deployment across RMG
•Expert knowledge of Security Architecture across all domains with a strong focus on Server, Desktop, Network, Storage, O/S, Database, Virtualisation and Cloud.
•Likely to be educated to degree level with a broad knowledge of IS/IT and Security
•Experienced in security practice across multiple technologies with proven expertise in security architecture
•Effective interpersonal , influencing and engagement skills
Based either in London or Chesterfield.
