Our client, a well respected main contractor within the UK rail engineering market is looking for an experienced Section Engineer to work on Rail station upgrade project currently underway in Devon. Initially 8 months work with further long term on-going work for suitable candidates; immediate start for the right candidate.
Ideally you will need to be highly skilled with paperwork.
*Reporting to the Site agent on all matters relating to site activities.
*Pre-empt subcontractor setting out requirements, producing checklist and inviting the client to inspect the works.
*Manage daily pre works briefings.
*On site coordination with subcontractors and the principal contractor engineering management
*Assist with producing RFI's & producing and closing out NCR's
*Provide daily diaries and any other related paperwork
*Service detection with scanner
*Permit production as required
*Provide as built surveys and redline sketches
*Provide on site Materials quantities and measurement of completed works
*Ensure that all work carried out is of the highest standard possible in line with the specification and the Divisional Standards Manual.
The successful candidate will bring to the role;
*Previous demonstrated experience in delivering technical information through on site setting out and supervision of construction activities
*A willingness and competency in order to step up into hands on site based role.
*Proven excellent communication and people skills
*A solutions-orientated attitude with a desire to progress within the Construction Industry.
