Your new school
Hays are seeking to register local, secondary experienced teaching assistants and cover supervisors to work at a number of local secondary schools in the Wolverhampton, Walsall and Dudley areas. You will be working in a variety of settings supporting pupils across year groups and subjects.
Your new role
As a Secondary teaching assistant your job will be to support pupils across key stages by working with small groups of pupils to enhance their learning and academic development. You will also work alongside the class teacher to deliver the national secondary curriculum and ensure that all pupils understand and engage with the tasks set. Your job as a teaching assistant will also involve the maintenance of a safe and secure environment for the children to learn in. Your role will involve supporting students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and behaviour management therefore experience of these are essential.
What you'll need to succeed
Ideally you will have a level 3 qualification (NVQ or equivalent) in Supporting Teaching and Learning as well as recent and relevant experience in a similar role. You must be passionate about supporting the needs of children and be confident in working with young people.
