Job Title: Design and Technology Teacher

Salary: Pay to Scale (MPS/UPS)

Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent

About the Role: We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Design and Technology Teacher to join our vibrant and forward-thinking school community. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the opportunity to teach A-Level for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and effective Design and Technology lessons in line with the national curriculum.
  • Teach a range of DT disciplines, including resistant materials, product design, and possibly graphics or textiles, depending on your strengths.
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback to support their development.
  • Develop and refine curriculum materials that align with the school’s goals and national standards.
  • Contribute to the wider school community by participating in extracurricular activities and school events.
  • Engage in reflective practice and contribute to the school’s improvement plan.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Experience teaching Design and Technology in secondary schools.
  • Strong knowledge of the Design and Technology curriculum.
  • A passion for the subject and a desire to inspire students.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
