Based on our award winning University Park campus you will work within the kitchens of our Student Halls of Residence. You will be required to work independently and will also assist the Head Chef with the preparation and service of a wide variety of products, ensuring a high quality and consistent service is provided. Duties will also include the preparation of food for high profile events including formal dinners, conferences and weddings for up to 350 people ensuring all relevant Food safety documentation is completed. You will also be required to supervise staff, order stock and ensure equipment within the area is cleaned and maintained.
Candidates should be qualified to 706 1/ 2 or NVQ 1/2 inFood Production, have excellent cooking skills and have supervisory experiencegained within a similar large scale catering environment. Knowledge of a range of Microsoft Office products and experience of stock management is also essential for this role.
Hours of work are 36.25 per week, worked 5 days out of 7 to be arranged and will include working evenings and regular weekends. Job share arrangements may be considered for this post.
This post will be offered on a permanent basis for 52 weeks of the year.
