Our client is a leading Financial Services provider, due to expansion they are now looking to appoint another Scrum Master to their growing team.

Duties will be varied and will include:

  • Performing Scrum Master role for one or more Scrum teams
  • Facilitating Scrum rituals, (specifically: Daily stand-ups, Backlog refinement, Sprint planning, Sprint retrospective, Sprint review/demo)
  • Facilitating cross-team communication (e.g. Release coordination and communications, Scrum-of-Scrums)
  • Building a great work culture by supporting the team to become self-organising and independent and challenging them to inspect & adapt
  • Using a variety of facilitation techniques to enable collaborative problem solving
  • Removing impediments to the teams' progress, often by facilitating discussions with stakeholders
  • Working closely with the product owners and project managers to ensure backlogs are appropriately prioritised
  • Working closely with Project Managers / Programme Managers and Change Board to help shape good agile project & product delivery
  • Assessing the Scrum Maturity of the team and organisation and coaching the team to higher levels of maturity, at a pace that is sustainable and comfortable for the team and organisation
  • Facilitating discussion, decision making, and conflict resolution
  • Collecting and reporting relevant, meaningful sprint and velocity statistics and feedback from your teams
  • Sharing best practice with other scrum masters in the wider business and making recommendations for process improvements
  • Collaborating with the Product Owner and Project Managers to report regularly on project/epic/feature burndown and delivery to stakeholders
  • Assisting scrum masters from other teams in tracking dependencies with their teams external teams

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • You are a Certified Scrum Master and/or Product Owner
  • You are educated to degree level
  • You will be knowledgeable of organisational IT systems, and have experience using Agile tools like TFS/Target Process/Jira to best advantage
  • Experience of Agile knowledge methodology is imperative
  • You have strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate on all levels to external and internal parties
  • You possess strong analytical andproblem-solving capabilities
  • You are self-motivated and delivery driven
  • You are highly organised
  • You possess at least 5 years' experience in Project Management/Development/Scrum
  • You have experience working with various software practices (BDD & TDD)
  • Experience in Financial Services environment will be an advantage
  • You have greatinterpersonal skills
  • You must be able to understand the business issues and information challenges of the organisation and industry
