Venn Group is currently working with an IT client to recruit a Scrum Master. The client uses the Agile methodology for software delivery. The successful candidate should have a comprehensive knowledge of Agile, Wagile, Prince2, Waterfall and other methodologies and be able to work with the management team to ensure our documented methodology properly supports the business goals.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Take responsibility for timely product delivery
  • Facilitate daily scrums, stand-ups and meetings to monitor project progress and resolve any issues the team may be experiencing
  • Create project outlines and timelines and distribute responsibilities to team members
  • Shape team behaviour through excellent management
  • Ensure milestones are reached and deadlines are met throughout project lifecycle
  • Remove project obstacles, develop solutions with team
  • Document progress and communicate to management and stakeholders
  • Build strong relationships with all stakeholders

Essential skills include:

  • Scrum Master certification preferred
  • 10+ years' experience in information technology, software development, scrum management and project management required
  • Ability to explain intricate and complicated concepts and ideas
  • Leadership skills and experience
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to work well with many different kinds of people, clients and partners
