Scrum Master - Bristol - £50,000-£55,000 + 20% Non-Contributory Pension & 10% Bonus
A market leading investment solutions organisation are looking for a skilled Scrum Master with experience of working in a fast-paced, service orientated environment to join their Agile team located in Central Bristol.
Working alongside the Product Owner and CTO, the Scrum Master will oversee two delivery teams and will be responsible for developing client’s online services platform.
As the Scrum Master, you lead scrum rituals (daily stand-ups, backlog refinement, sprint planning, and review), whilst facilitating cross-team communication through release coordination. As part of your duties, you’ll be tasked with building a great working culture by supporting the teams to become self-organising and independent, whilst challenging them to inspect and adapt.
Using a variety of facilitation techniques, the Scrum Master will enable collaborative problem solving by facilitating discussions with stakeholders and working closely with the product owners and managers to ensure backlogs are appropriately prioritised, and programme managers to shape good Agile project and product delivery.
You’ll assess the Scrum maturity of the team and will coach them to higher levels of maturity, sharing best practices with team members and other scrum masters, making recommendations for process improvements where necessary.
The suitable candidate will be a Certified Scrum Master with strong knowledge of organisational IT systems and Agile tools such as TFS, Target Process or Jira. Naturally, you will have excellent Agile experience with strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate on all levels to external and internal parties.
The Scrum Master will be a highly organised and self-motivated individual, with strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities. Due to the tech environment, you’ll have experience of working with various software practices, such as BDD or TDD, must be able to understand the business issues and challenges of the organisation and industry, therefore previous experience in a financial services environment is advantageous.
In addition to a competitive salary of up to £55,000, the client also offer a very competitive 20% non-contributory pension scheme and 10 % bonus, on top of benefits including medical insurance, life assurance, cycle-to-work scheme and a subsidised gym membership to name but a few.
