Based in Hounslow this average sized 11-18 secondary school are seeking to appoint a permanent science teacher from Easter '18. The school has received excellent exam results in recent years since the appointment of their current Head Teacher, being in the top 10% of national results. The school has an ethos of "hard work with no excuses" and teachers and pupils' are encouraged to set themselves high standards and expectations.
The school is in a superb location, with excellent transport links by both road and rail and sits on a large site, with excellent facilities. The school is over-subscribed and successful with an inclusive, supportive culture and the successful applicant can look forward to a high level of support and professional development. The staff at the school are conscientious, friendly and loyal, and show great commitment to the students, with applicants expected to embrace this ethos.
You will be required to teach science to all ages, including both GCSE and A-level sets, with science being a popular subject at the school at both GCSE & A-level. You will therefore need to have excellent subject knowledge and a commitment to ensuring that each pupil under your care achieves to the best of their ability. Whilst the school boasts excellent exam results this is not the only consideration, with staff committed to ensuring that pupils are given a well-rounded curriculum and personal development plan that will see them leave fully prepared for the wider world.
This role would suit either an experienced science teacher or a Newly Qualified Teacher of science that are looking for a supportive and caring secondary school.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
