A Science Teacher is needed in a Mixed Secondary School & Sixth Form in South East London.

Teaching for this Science Teacher post will be mostly for KS3 to KS4 classes but KS5 classes can be offered depending on the availability of lessons, as well as the specialism of the appointed teacher.

The school are seeking a Science Teacher that can commit to a full time work pattern and long term temp to perm booking.

Standard class teacher responsibilities apply to this Science Teacher role, which include but aren't limited to planning lessons, marking pupils work and attending team meetings.

The rates of pay for this Science Teacher position will range from £180 to £270 a day, depending on every applicants qualifications and experience.

The School

A free school created from what was a former University Technical College.

It is rated 'Good' by Ofsted.

Construction and Engineering are the specialisms of the school. They are the only local providers of courses with access to these opportunities.

The site is located between two scenic green spaces.

Pupil in take is for boys and girls, 11 to 19 year olds.

The curriculum at the school is structure to provide a broad and rich variety of pathways for pupils. There are also a wide range of Enrichment and Extracurricular activities for pupils to take part in.

The Sixth Form has its own dedicated centre which includes; a lecture theatre, sports hall, multi-use atrium, dining space and classrooms.

Requirements

You are encouraged to apply if you are an ECT/NQT Science Teacher or experienced Science Teacher.

Applications are also welcome if you are a British trained Science Teacher or overseas trained Science Teacher.

All applicants must have the following criteria in order to be considered for this position as a Science Teacher:

  • Right to work in the UK
  • UK QTS or overseas equivalent
  • Clear and updated Enhanced DBS
  • Experience as a Science Teacher in UK schools
