Science Teacher required in Blackburn
I am currently recruiting for a Science Teacher for this secondary school in Blackburn starting after Easter 2018. The school have insisted that you are a secondary trained teacher for this role and will not consider candidates with a PGCE in further or higher education due to the nature of the pupils and the needs of the department at this time. Both experienced teachers and secondary trained NQT's are encouraged to apply for this position.
You will be required to undertake this role as if you where a permanent member of staff and will be welcomed as so by the team within the department. You will be responsible for teaching chemistry, biology and physics up to key stage 4 and will have the full responsibility of planning, preparing and marking all of your students work. Alongside this you will be required to ensure that pupils are on track to hit their projected grades, preparing them for exams and attending any after school meetings / parent's evenings as required
You must be a team player as you will be working closely with lab technicians and other members of the science department on a daily basis. You will also be working with teaching assistants in a number of classes so it is vital that you are able to utilise them and ensure that they are supporting any students that have additional needs.
If this is the role for you and you would like any further information and would like to register for this and other roles then please contact Jon Wade at or call click for number
All candidates will be subject to Randstad Education's child safety standards and UK eligibility checks
