Science Teacher Specification

The successful Science Teacher will be someone who first and foremost loves all things Science! Current Trainee Science Teachers who will be NQTs from September 2018 are encouraged to apply as the school have a good track record of supporting NQTs through their NQT induction years. Having said that, experienced Science Teachers who have a solid track record of effective teaching and learning and want to add value to a well-resourced Science Faculty are also strongly encouraged to apply.

About the Science Teacher role

Your timetable will consist of KS3, KS4 and KS5 classes and you will be responsible for teaching GCSE and A-Level groups. Strong subject knowledge or previous experience teaching Biology, Physics or Chemistry to A-Level would be seen as advantageous although not absolutely essential. The school look for flexibility, innovation and dedication in the teachers they employ. Teachers who can promote enjoyment and participation in the subject will be looked upon favourably for this Science Teacher role.
