Science Teacher (SEMH) - Ipswich

We are looking for a Science Teacher, ideally with previous experience working with children with SEMH.

  • To work with young people with a range of special needs including SEMH, Autism and ADHD.
  • You will be teaching small groups of up to 10 pupils and you will have a Learning Support Assistant in the class to support you.
  • You will teach classes across key stages 3 & 4 and the pupils will be of varied abilities, requiring good differentiation skills.
  • This role includes planning and implementation of a creative and engaging curriculum.

Experience, Training and Qualifications required for the SEMH Secondary Teacher position:

  • Ideally, you will hold a valid QTS or QTLS and have the relevant teaching experience.
  • Have prior experience teaching pupils with SEMH.
  • You must be highly motivated and focused on achieving the best for every pupil.
  • With a positive attitude/desire to work with SEN pupils and have the ability to engage all students whilst creating a fun learning environment.

To be eligible for the SEMH Secondary Teacher post through Prospero Teaching you must:

  • Hold Right to Work in the UK
  • Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
  • Provide two professional child related references
