School Receptionist

Pupil Services Receptionist - Long term temporary assignment to start September 2025

• Job Type: Full-time (Term-Time Only) Monday - Friday
• Location: Academy East London
• Salary: £15 per hour

We are seeking a dedicated Pupil Services Receptionist on a long-term basis with the potential for extension. This role is crucial in providing a welcoming and efficient front-of-house service to our academy community.

• Day-to-day of the role: Greet and welcome visitors in person and over the phone, ensuring a professional and friendly reception experience.
• Manage the reception area, maintaining a tidy and organised space.
• Perform various administrative duties as required to support academy operations.
• Serve as a First Aider within the academy following appropriate training.
• Work 36 hours per week, from 8am to 4pm, Monday to Friday, during term-time plus one additional week for INSET days.
• There may be opportunities to work extra hours during school holidays to staff reception or assist with other tasks, as well as to help with after-school events during term times.

• Required Skills & Qualifications: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
• Experience in a reception or front-of-house role is preferred.
• A friendly and professional demeanour.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• First Aid certification or willingness to undergo training
