School Receptionist job at Nottingham Secondary Academy

A large Secondary School in Nottingham are seeking to appoint a temporary school receptionist to start in September. The school has a large reception area with modern facilities. This is an extremely fast paced role where you will be balancing SIMS Administration tasks, so you must have experience working in a school.

Your new role
In your new role you will be required to man the busy reception area, at times taking sole responsibility for the smooth running of the reception. School experience is essential.

Key duties include:

- Meeting and greeting visitors, pupils, staff and parents at the front desk
- You will be responsible for answering the telephone and directing all calls to the appropriate personnel
- General ad hoc administrative duties within the office using SIMS

What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role you must have prior experience working within a school environment. Ideally, you will have a DBS registered to the Update Service - if not, you must be willing to apply for a new DBS at a cost of £44. You must have systems knowledge within a school; Integris, SIMS, Scholar Pack etc. Manning a busy reception area in a secondary school is an extremely demanding role and you must be able to mutli-task.
