Location: Based within a Secondary School, Sandwell, West Midlands – commutable from West Bromwich, Walsall, Dudley, Birmingham and surrounding areas
Start Date: ASAP
Contract: Fixed term until 27th July 2018
Salary: £21,000 - £23,100 with up to 5% employer pension contributions
Hours: During term time – 7.30 am to 5.30 pm (Monday to Thursday) and 9am to 4pm on Fridays.
You will work closely with and manage a team of 18 – 25 year olds through their voluntary service at your designated school. These young people will play a crucial role within the school acting as mentors and role models, providing much needed support to the pupils. The Programme Officer will oversee the progress of these volunteers and help them develop and prepare for their careers and employability after their voluntary service.
You will act as the link between the school and our client, building a long term relationship and ensuring that communication flows effectively. You’ll also be on hand to resolve matters, and escalate these where required.
We are looking for candidates who have a passion for education, and have prior experience within a School setting. This role would really suit teacher’s looking to take a move outside the classroom, but who are keen to still make a lasting impact within the educational sector.
