School Nurse

We’re looking for an ambitious individual, who will be part of the Warrington 0-19 Public Health Nursing Team taking the next steps in developing great community services and ensuring that everything we do is based around our aim of quality first and foremost.

You’ll be joining us, to support our mission to improve local health and wellbeingin the communities we serve, through providing care close to home – in schools, clinics, health centres and patients’ own homes.

It has never been a more exciting time to join our team. We are looking for a dynamic and motivated School Nurse with the SCPHN qualification, who will work as part of a skill mixed team delivering the Healthy Child Programme for a defined caseload. You will need to have a broad understanding of children and young people's health issues and be able to demonstrate flexibility and creative thinking in respect of service delivery. Knowledge of recent documents and strategies driving the development of universal and equitable services for children is essential as well as understanding the principles of safeguarding children and young people.

Excellent communication, interpersonal and leadership skills are required with a commitment to team working as well as being able to demonstrate working using own initiative. You will work closely with schools, children and young people and their families, our partner agencies and commissioners to deliver a quality service.

The Trust has taken the decision to recharge successful candidates for the cost of their DBS disclosure. This post requires a(n) Enhanced / Standard DBS disclosure. The current price of this is £48.43/£30.43. The Trust will pay the initial costs, which will be recovered, in installments, from your first three salary payments.
