School Finance Officer job in Bristol
Your new school
A secondary school located in the outskirts of Bristol are recruiting for a temporary Finance Officer to cover an absence in the Finance office within the school. A fully inclusive academy with an Ofsted rated "Good", the school has a high level of commitment to children's well-being and academic achievement. The hours will be 8-4, Monday - Friday.
Your new role
You will be working alongside the Finance Assistant and will be operating and monitoring all school accounts and budgets, ensuring the safe receipt and handling of cash and the reconciliation of transactions. You will also be responsible for collecting and processing all diner monies for the school and ensuring the smooth running of the Finance office.
This role will of course include data entry and administration so we are looking for a candidate who has meticulous attention to detail as well as a sense of urgency.
What you'll need to succeed
You will need to be effective and efficient and work well under pressure. Knowledge of working within a school is desirable as you will be using SIMS. The school do have their own finance system, training will be provided for this. Working in a financial environment is essential, as well as an understanding of financial statements and ledgers relating to income and expenditure.
