Design Technology Technician, Chorley

We are currently recruiting for a temporary Design Technology Technician for a secondary school based in the Chorley area. The role will require someone to start ASAP on a part time basis to cover for approximately 4-6 weeks.

The role will require support predominantly in the resistant materials area but may be required to cover on occasion in product design and other areas. You will be required to prepare for practical lessons, support teaching staff and students in class with the use of all machinery within the resistant materials classes including saws and drills and also use of laser cutters and systems such as 2D design. You will also be responsible for ensuring the maintenance of the machines is up to date also. You will also ensure that Health and Safety requirements are met under the direction of the school.

The successful candidate will have previous experience within a school technology department, as well as any relevant certificates and Health and Safety qualifications.
