School Business Manager

Cadland Primary School is looking to recruit a dynamic and enthusiastic Business Manager to join our dedicated Senior Leadership Team.

We are looking for someone who can join our Senior Leadership Team to provide strategic management of all school resources and lead our office and site teams. The role will include taking the lead in all aspects of the school finances, marketing, health & safety, HR and premises management.

Our Headteacher and Deputies want to be able to focus on effective teaching and learning and the very best emotional and academic outcomes for our children. Therefore, they require a special person to join them who has the right business skills and attributes to enable them to do just that.

The right candidate will have:

  • either, a School Business Management Qualification; a Management or Business Degree; or equivalent work- based experience

  • an ability to work accurately under pressure and prioritise workload

  • the skills to work efficiently both on your own and as part of a team

  • excellent office management and ICT skills

  • knowledge of financial reporting systems

  • the ability to delegate and show initiative to ensure that nothing is overlooked and everyone is valued

This is a 44 week a year contract requiring the post holder to work term time plus 5 weeks during the school holidays. However, due to the seniority of this position, the requirements of this role will mean that the post holder may be required to work more than 40 hours per week during term time to attend meetings. This could then be offset with reduced hours during school holidays in negotiation with the Headteacher.
