School Administrator/Receptionist

We are looking for a friendly, efficient, and highly organised School Administrator to join our welcoming team at an all through school based in Leeds. This is a full time position ideal for someone with excellent communication and IT skills who enjoys working in a varied, supportive school environment. The candidate must have previous experience working in a school office and is experienced in handling parent queries.

Hours are: 8.30am to 4.30pm, 5 days a week.

Start date: Immediate (Candidate must be fully available until the end of this academic year)

Previous experience with SIMS, ARBOUR or Broncom would be ideal.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide a warm, professional front-of-house service to visitors, families, and staff
  • Answer phone calls, respond to emails, and manage general school communications
  • Support with data entry, filing, and maintaining accurate pupil records
  • Assist with staff and pupil attendance systems
  • Provide administrative support to senior leaders and teaching staff as needed
  • Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a school or busy office environment (desirable but not essential)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
  • Friendly, approachable, and calm under pressure
  • Strong written and verbal communication
  • A flexible team player with a 'can-do’ attitude
  • Willingness to learn school systems such as SIMS or Arbor (training provided)
