Salary up to £24,732.00 depending on experience + pension + quarterly performance related bonus + 25 days annual leave
The roles will be primarily based in Knostrop, Leeds but due to the nature of the role, you must be flexible to travel across the region. Therefore, a full valid EU driving licence is a mandatory requirement of this role.
What will the role involve?
You will be joining a team of twelve schedulers. The schedulers are focussed on the efficient delivery of the planned and reactive maintenance work to improve the performance factors of safety, environment, delivery and cost to ultimately improve asset availability. The position is responsible for all administrative tasks to ensure the efficient and effective building of the schedules within their allocated area.
As part of this role, you will work collaboratively with colleagues within the ER function and across other business functions and external partners. This will involve using systematic business processes and procedures to promote best practice working. You will deliver excellent performance linked to business targets while having meaningful performance discussions that recognise and reward the right performance and behaviours. You will drive excellent standards and performance in health and safety, risk management and control of work procedures and ensure compliance with the Yorkshire Water Safety Policy.
The role involves use of ICOM systems within Engineering Reliability to ensure alignment with scheduling principles and working with the Technical Planning team and Operational Coordinators you will find innovative solutions to ensure continued improvement and effectiveness of planning, scheduling and coordination work management processes. You will support the business by delivering effective schedules of work ensuring best use of Engineering Reliability and operational resources.
What skills are we looking for?
Experience of working within a team with a proven track record of driving sustainable performance against challenging business targets is essential. You will have specialist scheduling knowledge and supporting experience preferably from utilities, asset intensive process or fast paced manufacturing industry background.
It is important that you are organised, pay attention to detail, have good general administrative skill and excellent IT skills with a working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
We are looking for someone with outstanding health and safety awareness and drive for improvement. You must have the ability to look for the root cause of a problem and using your own initiative to develop and implement suitable solutions.
It is important that you have excellent communication skills to be able to develop and maintain effective internal and external relationships. You will have the capability and confidence to challenge current ways of thinking, have a 'can do, will do' attitude and be able to embrace change.
It is desirable that you have an understanding of the water industry, utilities or an asset intensive process industry.
