Scheduled Engine Technician

Encore Energy are currently recruiting for a Scheduled Technician to work on a permanent basis is Aylesbury.

The Role
Working at sites that convert landfill gas (methane) in to electricity you will be required to maintain and repair a broad range of large gas engines, as well as the associated gas plant. This is a regional based position and you will be part of a team of Technicians in your area. Your daily duties will include complex fault finding, corrective maintenance and planned maintenance. This is a mechanically biased role that requires a basic appreciation of electrical principles.

The Candidate
Candidates for this position must have an excellent mechanical skill set and expertise in the repair of large engines. You must have worked on V6 engines or larger. Historically candidates have come from the armed forces, HGV, generator, energy or marine sectors. The ability to work unsupervised, in a pressurised environment and in a mobile nature is essential. A comprehensive 3 month training induction is provided to familiarise yourself with the specifics of the plant. Previous experience on gas engines is not required. A willingness to learn and develop yourself is essential.
