Office base : Elstree, Herts. Travel to Middle East required

Our client is an established UK based International Pharmaceutical Company based in Elstree, Herts. As part of their growth strategy they are recruiting a Business Development Team Manager, reporting to the COO
The successful candidate must be a Pharmacist with knowledge of building relationships in the Middle East. Fluency in Arabic and English languages are essential. Experience of Managing, leading and motivating a small sales team is also required.
The position will play a key role in Business Development and maintaining customer relations in addition to line manager responsibility for office based Key Account Managers. The focus initially is on the Middle East region.
Main Objectives :
Achieve the sales and gross martin targets in line with the Company growth plans
Pro actively build and maintain Client relationships
Manage large orders from initial contract negotiations through to delivery
Grow the existing customer base , evaluating the potential of new customers
Acquire market intelligence regarding potential products
Determine the market access strategy and pricing for specific products
Manage, coach and train the team of KAMS
Manage internal stakeholder relationships
To be successful in the role, the candidate will have a scientific background, be professional, and have a hands on and results driven background. Clear and concise written and verbal communication at all levels and good presentation skills are required.
The ability and willingness to travel internationally , on approximately a monthly basis as required and commitment to work outside office hours to maintain customer relations across international regions is needed.
