Are you a proven sales leader from the energy/utilities industry? We are looking for a Sales Support Manager to manage the sales support team, providing a support service to Sales Account Managers to ensure highest level of service is maintained at all times. You will aim to help the sales team achieve its targets and objective with their I&C customers. The Sales Support Manager will provide a wide and varied level of support across the sales team providing both pre and post-sales support ensuring that all elements of the sales process is efficiently and robustly supported. Key responsibilities:

  • Day to day management of the sales support team for both gas and electricity
  • Matching resource alloctaion to the changing requirements of the sales teams maximising commercial opportunity and manage both peaks and troughs in workload
  • Ensuring quoting and contract administration processes are robust and 'fit for purpose
  • Responsibility for managing I&C sales support ensuring high level of service at all times to the I&C sales team
  • Ownership of key systems including Junifer on-going developing and testing
  • Managing, meeting and exceeding expectations of the Sales Teams
  • Supporting Sales Teams to ensure all contract documentation is processed accurately
  • Sales Support Continuous Improvement Process (CIP) - efficient and effective processes
  • Planning and development of direct reports
  • Positive feedback from Account managers and the wider sales team

Skills and experience required:

  • Positive and flexible approach to work
  • Demonstrate good numeric and IT skills, must be fluent in MS Word and MS Excel
  • Good numerical skills
  • Good verbal reasoning
  • An experienced and self-motivated team player with and ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines in a fast moving, driven sales environment
  • Commercially aware
  • Staff management and motivational skills
  • Analytical skills using Microsoft Office tools
  • Ability to resolve complex issues
