Based: Midlands / M62 Corridor (Oxford, Northampton, Leicester, Nottingham, Birmingham, Derby, Sheffield, Manchester, Leeds)

The Requirements of the Sales Specialist:

  • As the Sales Specialist for Liquid Handling you will have at least 3 - 5 years proven successful sales experience selling Life Sciences Capital Equipment Ideally Automation / Robotics / Liquid Handling Systems to industries such as: Research, Academia, Biotechnology & Pharmaceuticals within a role such as: Sales Representative, Account Manager, Business Development Manager/ Executive or Territory Manager
  • As the Sales Specialist you will hold a minimum of a BSc (Ideally PhD) degree within a Life Sciences subject such as: Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Genetics, Immunology, Chemistry, Biomedical Science or other related degree
  • Ideally you will have previous experience within a laboratory environment working with Liquid Handling systems/automation products
  • Must be self-motivated and enthusiastic, have excellent interpersonal skills, and enjoy working independently as well as part of a team in the Sales Specialist role
  • You must be computer literate and hold a full UK driving licence in order to be successful within the Sales Specialist role

The Responsibilities of the Sales Specialist:

  • This role is a highly technical position which requires a consultative approach to the sale of my clients high value & innovate Liquid Handling Automation Systems & Platforms dealing with key decision makers such as: Laboratory Managers, Department Heads & Post-doctoral researchers within the Pharmaceutical, Biotech & Academia sector
  • Within the role you will be carrying out presentations, demonstrations and site visits through the UK where you will have the unique opportunity to make an active contribution to the successful development of the organisation
  • You will be driving new business within the Sales Specialist role, with the potential being huge whilst also having a real structured sales plan and really putting a face to the products name within the UK and manage existing relationships
  • Negotiating sales and tender management will also be a key part of the role whilst achieving quarterly and annual revenue targets reporting to the Commercial Manager for North West Europe
