Sales & Purchase Ledger Supervisor

Seymour John are currently working alongside a market leading organisation in an exclusive partnership, to recruit a sales and purchase ledger supervisor on a permanent basis. This role has arisen due to a recent acquisition that has resulted in an additional head being required to both supplement and oversee this busy period of change for the business.
Reporting directly into the finance manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for the supervision of the transactional finance team, whilst also taking the lead on improving the organisations processes. You will be required to build key relationships with the senior management team, in addition to confidently helping the Finance Manager to build the weekly cash flow statement. The day to day duties of the position will include dealing with supplier queries & issues, whilst also reconciling supplier statements to the ledger. You will also be required to chase external customers as required to ensure that all invoices are paid as per their terms, then follow this up by issuing daily reports on cash & debtors. The daily mentoring and coaching of the transactional finance team will be a very important element to the role.
To be considered for this position, the successful candidate must have a proven track record in both leadership of teams, and also a successful history of improving processes within finance organisations.
