Sales Office Administrator

Our National client based in Hoddesdon is recruiting a Sales Administrator supporting the Sales Team to join their small and busy team. This position is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a thriving organisation and offers a salary of between £16,500 to £18,000 depending on experience. Our client’s preference is recruit on a temp to perm basis but will also consider permanent only. The hour are 8.30am - 5:00 pm Monday to Friday.

Main Purpose

Daily contact via phone with our current customer base, discussing their purchasing requirements and processing orders. This position requires an individual who can engage our customers in conversation, whilst presenting a cheerful and professional approach to our clients.

Main duties:

  • Have a confident telephone manner to include taking messages, along with good customer care skills by developing a good relationship by both e-mail and telephone
  • Good computer skills and have a working knowledge of spreadsheets
  • Sales order processing would be an advantage but not a necessity as full training would be provided
  • Receiving and processing orders by telephone, email and fax
  • Good written and verbal English
  • Accuracy and attention to detail with good organisational skills
  • Liaising between customers, the warehouse and external sites
  • Generating extra business with existing customers in a pro-active way, including offering monthly promotions
  • An ability to work under pressure and to deadlines
  • The ability to be flexible and work both independently and part of a small friendly team
  • Must be able to prioritise work
  • Quick and willing to understand and learn about the company, products and services we provide
  • Have the ability to use own initiative and be capable of implementing Best Practice ideas
