Sales Negotiator/Administrator (Part-Time)

  • Part-Time Position - £16,000 - £18,000 per annum (pro-rata) dependent on experience PLUS EXCELLENT COMMISSION PACKAGE

Our Client is an award-winning independent and established family-run estate agency with an excellent reputation based near West Malling, Kent.

You will be required as a Sales Negotiator and Lettings Assistant reporting to the Company Director and Lettings Manager. This role will be vast and varied and no two days will be the same.

Your main role will be as a Sales Negotiator. To conduct this role you must be a self-starter with the ability to generate new business and take the sales process through from start to finish. You must have the legal and industry knowledge to not only go out and get the sales but to take the sale right through to completion. You must have a strong and proven background in property sales and have the drive and ambition to succeed. You will need to be able to quickly build and sustain relationships and have exemplary communication skills.

You will be responsible for:

  • Canvassing of potential sales properties
  • Obtaining new business
  • Listing properties
  • Registering applicants and matching properties to their requirements
  • Conducting viewings
  • Liaising between Vendors, Purchasers, and all other parties connected to the sale
  • Ensuring that the sales process is legally compliant in every way
  • Negotiating and closing deals
  • All associated paperwork

As well as your main role as a Sales Negotiator, you will also be on hand to assist the Lettings Manager with various administration tasks on a daily basis. This is a busy, varied role, which may involve duties including - but not limited to - call-handling, vetting prospective tenants, conducting viewings, carrying out the referencing process and conducting general lettings administration such as listing properties on our client's marketing platforms and drafting tenancy related documents/agreements.

You may also be asked to assist with the day-to-day management of a portfolio of around 60 properties. This involves duties such as dealing with any maintenance issues quickly and effectively and conducting interim inspections. This job can be pressurised so you will need to be a capable multi-tasker, able to handle several things at once and take responsibility for each task seeing all work items through from start to finish.

Working as part of a small team, you must be prepared and able to think on your feet and make independent, effective decisions on a daily basis. You must also be an excellent team player able to carry out instructions as required.

We are looking for a person who has solid experience in all aspects of Estate Agency but predominantly sales. As a member of our small team you will be representing the business and must uphold our reputation as an honest, dedicated and ethical estate agent who do the very best for our clients at all times.

Knowledge of the ever-changing property laws and willingness to continue to learn is required, as is excellent grammar and spelling along with communication skills via phone, face to face and email. You will need to be flexible, have excellent organisation, administrative and IT skills (Apple Mac preferred), plus Word, Excel, email and internet)

You will need a sharp eye for detail and strive to excel in everything that you do.

Most importantly you will have a positive, professional, and proactive approach to all daily tasks and the role as a whole.

Some marketing and social media experience would be advantageous.
