Basic 30K - 35K Dependent on experience

OTE 50K onwards ( uncapped)

Hours of work

Monday - Friday - 8am - 6pm

Saturday 8.30am - 2pm ( 1 in 3)

No Sundays or Bank Holidays

Company car

25 days holiday ( excluding bank holidays)

Key Objectives:

  • Maximise sales and profitability through satisfaction and retention of customers
  • Achieve and strive to exceed all targets and sales objectives through a well-developed and motivated sales team
  • Work with the Brand Manager to formulate policies and procedures to increase vehicle sales
  • Help Centre to achieve industry-leading standards of process efficiency and cost control
  • Ensure departmental compliance with company policies and industry guidelines

Detailed Objectives:

  • Develop and maintain excellent business relationships with customers by meeting and exceeding their expectations
  • Receive customers promptly and courteously in line with manufacturer’s quality programme
  • Ensure vehicle handovers are carried out on the agreed date and to the customers’ satisfaction
  • Handle dissatisfied customers calmly, resolve complaints with sensitivity and involve others when needed
  • Explain job expectations and procedures to all new team members to ensure understanding of respective duties
  • Delegate tasks and responsibilities to appropriate personnel and monitor their progress to ensure that work is completed as directed
  • Provide advice and assistance to team members
  • Take a pro-active interest in training and developing yourself and team members, developing skills to support improvements in job performance and to aid career advancement
  • Examine accounts to ensure budget and sales objectives are met and report to the Brand Manager
  • Achieve profit objectives within a specific time frame to ensure a budgeted return on investment
  • Develop a strategy to increase sales business as part of the Business/Growth plan and monitor results
  • Identify clearly the area of marketing responsibility and ensure relevant knowledge of demographics, using information available from the manufacturer
  • Plan, oversee and monitor sales campaigns, advertising and promotional activities to maximise sales and also create and maintain a positive, professional image of the Van Centre
  • Review the monthly sales and profit performance in co-operation with other managers to determine where improvements can be made
  • Ensure that the operation achieves budget objectives by continually examining accounts, operating controls and composite figures and adjusting budgets to allocate resources in a cost-effective manner
  • Develop and maintain good working relationships with all Van Centre personnel
  • Undertake all other tasks and responsibilities as requested by the Brand Manager
  • Build a strong rapport with financial institutions and other business representatives
