An opportunity has arisen for an individual looking to develop their sales/ sales management career within an established UK leisure marine focused business. The business is focused on quality, customer service and British manufacturing. The role will suit someone that is able to thrive off these values and help drive business off the back of this message.
The role will suit someone with previous sales / customer service experience, that is looking to move more towards a management role with an analytical approach to support this development. Importantly preference will be shown to anyone with a knowledge/experience of sailing, as this can significantly aid the overall understanding of the product in its application, allowing for a better level of customer service. This however is not essential. Full product training will be provided.
The role is focused on the wider development of department and the direct support of the divisional manager. This will include supporting customers on pricing, technical specification and product suitability.
The role will be primarily office based with the majority of customer interaction via email and phone. Some travelling will be required on an ad hoc basis. This is an area that can be developed over time for the correct individual. The role will report directly to the divisional manager thus supporting them in a variety of ways, ranging from key customer relationships, through to marketing, exhibitions and brand promotions.
The successful candidate should be career minded and enjoy a challenge. Previous experience in product based sales environments will be helpful as would a background in customer service management.
The candidate should display excellent IT skills with good verbal (telephone manner) and written communication. A knowledge of customer relationship management systems will be beneficial as is degree level education although not essential.
