Outbound Sales Manager

Location: Hybrid (London) – 2 days in office

Salary: Competitive, plus benefits

A fast-growing tech-enabled utilities business is seeking an Outbound Sales Manager to lead its outsourced sales team. The business is on a mission to simplify utilities by combining energy, broadband, mobile, and insurance into one service for customers, and they are looking for a results-driven leader to help drive growth, customer retention, and cross-sales.

This is a fantastic opportunity to take ownership of an outsourced sales channel, develop a high-performing team, and shape strategies that directly impact revenue and customer experience.

What You Will Do
  • Lead and manage outsourced outbound sales teams, providing coaching, training, and performance feedback
  • Identify and onboard new outbound partners to grow the sales channel and meet forecasted targets
  • Run the tender process for selecting and onboarding new telemarketing agencies, including evaluating proposals and negotiating contracts
  • Oversee contractual relationships and performance management with outsourced providers
  • Develop and implement outbound sales strategies focused on cross-selling and retention
  • Analyse sales performance data, forecast results, and optimise campaigns based on insights
  • Launch and develop new campaign opportunities in alignment with business goals
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams such as marketing, product, and customer service
What You Bring
  • Proven experience managing outbound sales teams, ideally with outsourced or remote teams
  • Strong track record of meeting or exceeding sales and retention goals
  • Commercial awareness and experience managing contractual relationships
  • Knowledge of sales methodologies focused on cross-selling and customer retention
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to turn data into actionable insights
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to liaise with senior stakeholders and front-line teams
  • Proficiency with CRM systems and sales analytics tools

  • Experience running tender processes for telemarketing or outsourced sales providers
  • Knowledge of outbound dialer technologies and campaign optimisation
  • Experience in subscription-based, telecoms, or utilities businesses
