Our Client, a fast-growth business working in the Veterinary industry, is seeking to appoint a new role of Sales Manager to join the quickly growing team and focus on the independent trade market. With an existing proven 'on-trend’ product range, the business is now looking to accelerate its sales through increased distribution channels and a wider product range. Reporting to the Sales Director, this role will be instrumental in executing the company’s strategic plan to generate and support new business through sales to the Independent and Veterinary channels.
As Sales Manager, you will act as the lead point of contact for mostly new customers, providing effective account management for some current and ensuring the timely and successful delivery of products and services. You will develop and implement business plans for specific accounts, presenting NPD and in line with the sales strategy within the budgeted margin targets. In addition, you will be responsible for forecasting sales for individual channels to enable stock requirements and track key account metrics. You will also provide monthly sales reports and analysis on promotional performance in existing business channels.
For this role, we are seeking a pro-active, driven individual with relevant experience gained through selling to veterinary practices and/or independent pet retailers, with a minimum of 2-3 years account management knowledge. You will hold a BA/BSc degree (or equivalent) and have demonstrable selling and negotiating skills. You will possess effective project and time management skills with the ability to listen and develop compelling selling arguments. You will communicate effectively with both internal and external stakeholders, showing commercial awareness and a resilient character in a competitive market to manage multiple projects simultaneously whilst providing first class customer management skills.
